Live Salsa Music All Evening

Barrio 27 is a 16-piece salsa orchestra founded in 2024 by percussionist Alexandra Rós Norðkvist. Known for their energetic performances and vibrant repertoire, the band brings an authentic salsa atmosphere to every stage. Their mission is to grow the salsa dance community in Iceland and now you have the chance to be part of it.

On 14 August 2026, Barrio 27 will host their first full-scale salsa night at Sjálfstæðissalurinn (the former NASA venue) in the heart of Reykjavík.

The evening begins with a beginner-friendly salsa lesson at 8:30 PM, making it easy for everyone to join in -whether you're taking your very first dance steps or you're an experienced salsa dancer.

At 9:00 PM, Barrio 27 takes the stage, filling the venue with live salsa music and keeping the dance floor alive until midnight.

Whether you're an experienced salsa dancer or have never danced a single step, this evening is for you. Come for the atmosphere, the music, and the joy of it all.
